Baltimore Real Estate is about to change - AGAIN!

Port Covington, a "mostly forgotten" area on the southside of the Locust Point resurgence and close to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, is on the move. Realtors, real estate agents and brokers are lining up to get in on the action. Land deals are being made and clients are being recruited.

Port Covington Real Estate .com will become your online resource for Baltimore Realty information on the "south side" of town. You will find links and an efficient means to search for information about waterfront development, new homes, Baltimore real estate agents, brokers and more...

In mid-2002, the world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart, opened its first Baltimore City store at Port Covington in South Baltimore, just south of Locust Point. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club were the first retailers to locate in the new Port Covington Shopping Center , a 60-acre, waterfront site on East Cromwell Street. This commercial development began to attract the focus of those seeking waterfront homes. but, alas, it was not to be. The Sam's club lasted only a couple years and the WalMart just recently closed, having lasted a little over a dozen years.

Now there are extensive and exciting plans underway to bring about a renaissance to the section of the South Baltimore Peninsula known as Port Covington. The Port Covington Maritime Center, contains a boat and yacht repair service and a marina at Winans Cove.

In addition to commercial development we will see much (needed) activity in residential real estate development. Beautiful new townhomes, high rises and beautiful apartment complexes will be built, expanding the availbility of first-class waterfront and water-view homes on Baltimore's Southside.
